On Don Granato. I would have to honestly say that I always liked him, but he had no answers and started to repeat himself when poor efforts at critical times were prevalent.

Well said, Brad.

He had No help in that Coaching staff either to help find those answers. It really was a failure in every stage. Well except maybe Goaltending with UPL and they fell into that.

They need to fire Marty Wilford, their horrendous defensive coach. Matt Ellis needs to go as well. What a joke, he couldn't play hockey or coach. Just because they kiss Terry's ass doesn't mean they are good coaches. Terry just needs to sell the team already.

I cannot believe people are even thinking Lindy would make a good coach. He had plenty of time to win the Stanley cup and he couldn't do it. He can get a team into the playoffs, however, that is it. We will be back to the same mediocre team as before. Quenneville or Gallant would whip this team into shape. Hard ass coaching is what these kids need and they would see results almost immediately.

There is a reason why Ellis is here. Can’t say why

Quenneville? You mean the guy that let someone sexually harass his players during the hawks cup runs?

Yeah he’s never coming back.

Gallant stinks with young guys players. Ask the rangers how laf kakko and other kids developed. Oh wait they didn’t

Quenneville has not been reinstated yet by the NHL

Quenneville was told that they "the administration would take care of it"...he is trying to coach a team to win cups and someone should have taken care of that for him. He is a good coach and he probably regrets he didn't follow up on that...but when someone tells you that they will take care of it, you typically think they will. At any rate, since he hasn't been cleared to coach by the league...it really doesn't matter. As for Gallant, when the entire team is young, I think he could adapt. Ruff is washed up and should be a GM, not a coach. The players in their exit interviews are begging for more discipline and longer practices. The team needs a tough coach to whip them into shape. The country club doctrine has not worked as well as the untested NHL coaches.

Reports that Terry Pegula has sold the Buffalo Sabres
Is the curse finally lifted?!

HockeyFeed
Published 14 hours ago

This just in, according to a report from Buffalo based NLL (National Lacrosse League) reporter Michael Karvelis, the Buffalo Sabres are being sold by owner Terry Pegula.

Karvelis reports that ALL of the Pegula's professional sports franchises besides the NFL's Buffalo Bills are being sold. This means that the Sabres, the NLL's Buffalo Bandits, the NLL's Rochester Nighthawks and the AHL's Rochester Americans are being sold.

I hope this is true, but probably not.

It's bullsh¡t, Tim Graham said he's just selling the Knighthawks, because why does he need 2 lacrosse teams?

I agree with why Utah won’t want to make this deal.

Anyone hear any rumors on the new name? Utah or Salt Lake? I expect them to follow NBA team and use Utah

Coyotes name staying with AZ owner in case he actually gets an arena deal

- Ratsreign

Their ECHL team is called the Utah Grizzlies.

I like that or the Utah Yeti.

You win in this league with your top line. With all of these prospects, who projects to be an above average 1st line guy?

That's my big question. Lot of middle six guys on a team who already has a lot of middle six guys.

Any chance they can try and pay up for Kempe from the Kings instead of Kaliyev?

Longshot, I know.

It's a fake need. Top line is the real concern.
- Lunaion

What's your solution then, if you believe they don't really have a top line?

You know how difficult it is to get those types of players.

Isn't their only solution to build out a robust, well rounded roster and see how far that takes them?

They will have a 1st line and a PP. Guys will put up points. That alone doesn't make them average or above.

Top line was well below average last year and is a huge concern heading in to next season. They didn't have even an average 1st liner last year.

- Lunaion

What...?

Please explain.

What is the best way to identify an above average top line, if you believe points are deceiving?
